Learn how to perform a professional retwist efficiently enough to fit into the kind of time window barbers already understand — while learning the principles that can make the difference between a retwist that lasts a few days and one that can continue looking good for months.

TAUGHT BY YONNI RED.

The loctician behind the method, teaching it directly to barbers.

2 Days • 10 Hours • In Person • Barber-Focused
The opportunity

YOU CAN ONLY CUT SO MANY HEADS IN A DAY.

If the only thing you know how to sell is the cut, earning more usually means squeezing in another head, adding another hour, or finding another client.

What if you could make the same chair time worth more?

Example barber service
~$35
Lineup / finishing service
Same client's larger service opportunity
$100+
Retwist + barber service, depending on the service and your market.

Illustrative pricing only. Actual pricing and earnings vary by market, provider, demand and services performed.

Who is teaching this?

LEARN IT FROM YONNI RED.

THE LOCTICIAN BEHIND THE METHOD
Yonni Red

Yonni Red has spent decades working with locs, teaching LOC styling and developing techniques that have been used by professionals and students long before social media turned LOC education into the crowded space it is today.

She created the LOC Styling Bootcamp and built her reputation around teaching techniques that people could actually take to the chair and execute.

Her body of work includes 1,000+ verified students, completed LOC tours, NFL clients, books, communities, industry accolades and a content library dating back to 2010.

This isn't a trend Yonni discovered online.
This is work she's been doing for decades.

Why Faster Than a Fade™

I NEVER WANTED THE BARBER'S CLIENT.

I wanted the barber to know how to finish their own client.

When I started doing locs in the late '90s and early 2000s, locs were growing fast — but there weren't nearly enough trained professionals who knew how to maintain them.

The men getting locs didn't suddenly stop being barber clients. They still went to the barbershop for their lineups, tapers and undercuts.

But their barbers didn't retwist.

So the barbers sent them to me.

I wanted the barbers to learn how to do it themselves.

The barber already had the client. The missing piece was having the skill to complete another valuable part of that client's service.

That's where Faster Than a Fade™ came from.

What you'll learn

IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT TWISTING LOCS.

You'll learn the principles behind a retwist that can be performed efficiently and designed to last — including how the products you already have on your station can dramatically change the result.

01

Your Products Matter

Learn how the products already sitting on your station can affect the formation, hold and longevity of a retwist.

02

Speed Without Guesswork

Learn a professional retwist approach built around efficient formation rather than spending unnecessary time manipulating every individual loc.

03

Longevity Changes Everything

Understand what can make the difference between a retwist that falls apart after a few days and one that can remain intact for months.

The goal isn't just to make it look good when the client leaves.
The goal is for them to still be impressed weeks later.

Real barber results

DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

Hear from women who actually learned and used what I taught them.

She learned it online.

She didn't even meet Yonni in person for the class. She learned the Faster Than a Fade method through the online hands-on experience — and then produced her results.

Now imagine what can happen when you learn it directly from Yonni, in person, with her in the room.

Maya changed what happened in her chair.

Maya was a barber. After adding LOC services, she talks about becoming one of the most mentioned professionals on Facebook in her city.

And then there's the result that says even more: she retwisted a man's hair in November, and when he returned in February, the retwist was still intact.

The next challenge

THIS TIME, WE'RE IN THE ROOM.

You've seen what can happen when the method is taught online. This time, you get to learn it hands-on and in person.

Questions

IS THIS FOR YOU?

Is Faster Than a Fade™ only for female barbers?

No. The training is barber-focused and women barbers have responded strongly to the opportunity, but the training is not restricted to women.

Do I have to become a loctician?

No. The purpose is to teach barbers a valuable LOC maintenance skill that can be incorporated into the services they already provide.

What are the dates and location?

The next Faster Than a Fade™ Challenge is September 20–21, 2026, from 10 AM–3 PM each day at 2443 Spring Road, Smyrna, GA 30080.

What makes this different from watching random retwist tutorials?

You're learning Yonni Red's method directly, including the principles behind speed, product use, formation, setting and longevity. The objective is to give you something you can actually execute in the chair.

Why are you asking whether I can bring a model?

Because this is an in-person hands-on experience. If you are able to bring a model, you'll have the opportunity to work with the technique on an actual head during the training.

Will I automatically triple my income?

No specific income result is guaranteed. The purpose of the training is to give you a higher-value skill and show you how it can be incorporated into your existing barber business. Your results depend on your market, pricing, clientele, execution and business decisions.
